The Georgia Association of Railroad Passengers, Inc. (GARP)
is an independent, all volunteer, non-profit corporation that advocates rail service
as part of a balanced passenger transportation system for Georgia.

We are over twenty-eight years old and include membership from all parts of Georgia,
as well as interested parties outside the state.

GARP is working to:

Expand public awareness of the value of passenger rail service and stimulate community support.
Promote the development of commuter rail service for metropolitan Atlanta
as well as the establishment of statewide intercity passenger rail service.
Advocate gubernatorial and legislative support of the Georgia Rail Passenger Authority.
Improve rail passenger facilities and auxiliary services.
Support legislative action to establish and improve passenger rail service.
Encourage coordination of inter-modal transportation services.
Solve the transportation problems of Georgia.
